346- the King

I really love this photo. The black and white definately adds to it, and I think it just wouldn't impact me as much if it were in color. The black and white also lends a sort of old-times feel to it, which fits the setting, I think. I also love how you have the subject in the middle, rather than off to the side. Sometimes, assymetry makes for a better composition, but in this photo, that's not the case. It has way more impact this way.

The only real critique I have is that whatever those black bar things are on the sheet above the subject's head, they are kind of distracting. I'm sure you couldn't really do anything about that, but I felt the need to say it. Because those bars are black and the sheet is almost white, the contrast draws my eyes up to that part of the photo, and I don't really think that's where my eyes should be going.

All in all, I really love it. It's going on my favorites definately, and the title really fits.
